Kansas City Parkour

Kansas City Traceurs Unite

The parkour class at Edge has been going on for a while, and this is a video that shows some of the stuff we do and the stuff we teach. Some of the stuff, the tricking especially is unique to Team Legend, but if anyone wants to learn it we're willing to teach it.

Is there a location near Overland Park, KS? It looks like fun.

Ah alright, I'll talk to my parents and see.

Sorry, but i think the only way to do that is to take a "trial" Parkour class. They let you take a free trial to see if you like it. I think that's about the only string we can pull.

I can B-kick now, after finally sitting down long enough to think about the mechanics and am going to try the twist when I can get a place to try it without injuring myself too bad

540 is a different story, I have been drilling tornado's like crazy and my dynamic flexibility in my right leg compared to my left is crazy, I can easily land on my kick leg I just have problems with the full spin, it usually ends up being a 360 landed on the kicking leg. I'm almost positive though, that if I can figure out what I need to do with my arms the full twist will be easy.

Lol so, is there anyway I can get gym time with you guys, without having to take the parkour class, or spend 9 dollars a week? (money isn't an issue, It's just kind of hard to find 9 dollars a week when I don't have a job and I think paying for the parkour class would probably be a better use of the money anyways)

To be perfectly honest, we've tried to teach B-kick and 540 kick to the class, but very few of our students are anywhere close to getting those unique movements. But we have the freedom to do pretty much whatever we want, so we can take the time to pull people aside during class and work on tricking. It's just that right now none of our students can do it.

Do you actually have a class for tricking or it that just something you threw in there? I would be happy trying to find the money to pay for a tricking class so I could have a gym to practice at, rather than busting it on grass :)

Looks like a good time. I may try and make it out there this Friday if I can get the day off.
